Game Terrain Building

It’s been a while since the last update. And we have a lot to share.

We’ve been quite busy behind the scene working on several idea’s and even a prototype. As the name already says, we’re Game Terrain building. We’re looking into ways on how to put our self into the market, on how to improve our quality and work flow. We’ll also work on our contact information, making sure those are integrated and working.

As GTB, we’ve taken quite an interest in working with LED’s in our maps. Giving us another dimension in which we can play with lights and shadows. Creating more effects and other idea’s. Luuk has started working on a prototype with LED’s in which we could experiment and see how thing could work out. We even went as far as trying to integrate several other components that could trigger sound, flickering of lights or even smoke/fog. We’re eager to show several idea’s we have once we worked them out more.

at the same time, Jarne is working out on how to create a modular map system for our current running Warhammer fantasy old world campaign. He’s prototyping and experimenting on how to create several dessert effects. We even brainstormed on how we could integrate LED’s into a modular system and on how make it dummy proof and durable.

As mentioned above, we’re running our own campaigns. We’ve talked about wanting to add these to the site as well, sharing the campaign, notes, stories and how to. We understand that if you’re new to the hobby, starting a campaign can be a lot, even overbearing. Luckily we’ve had many tools that helped us along the way (for example Mordheim). Since our love and passion was helped along and fuelled by equally passionate people, we feel that it’s only right to do the same.

aside from this we’re also working on several fantasy Warhammer armies to play with or against in our campaign. It’s quite busy, but we’re happy with the way things our going. It a journey and not a race for us.

We implemented a pulldown menu for navigating through the gallery’s. We’re still working and thinking on how we want the layout for this. For now we’re happy with that it’s working. The layout will most likely grow and change as the site will as well.

We’re quite happy with that we made it work to add pictures. We can start uploading past or current projects. It also gave us the opportunity to experiment with taking pictures.

Once we have a more filled out gallery going, we’ll focus more on other parts of the website. We’d love to add more tabs, especially a “about us” section. We’ll get together in the future to work this out. As much as we would love to work constantly on this, we’re currently required to do this in our free time which sometimes can be limited.

Welcome to the start of our journey.

As you can see, the site is currently still under construction. We’re still figuring out what direction we want to go with the site. Along the way some changes may be made. We’re trying out different layouts and ideas. This might result in some site functions not working yet. Some text might still be some presets or just for testing.
